The following student clubs/organizations serves students currently enrolled in a program specific area:

 

Auto Service Technology - Advisor - Dennis Godfrey d.godfrey@lsc.edu Mission:  It is the goal of the LSC auto club to augment and supplement the curriculum of the auto programs.  A secondary goal is to promote knowledge of and interest in the program’s to the surrounding community.  The desire is to allow students to participate in activities that will challenge their automotive and personal communication skills.

Aviation - Mission:  Advisor - Julius Salinas j.salinas@lsc.edu "Explore, inform and prepare students for possible careers within the aviation world.  Enhance the image of aviation to the general public".

Broadcasting Advisor - Brandon Lenao b.leno@lsc.edu

Business Professionals of America Advisor - Barb Struck b.struck@lsc.edu - Mission:  The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, academic, citizenship, and technological skills.

Dental Hygiene Advisor - Cindy Upton c.upton@lsc.edu - Mission:  To continue to be well-informed by constantly bettering ourselves with current knowledge and trends in the field of dentistry.  To offer quality care to all patients including the underserved populations.  To keep our organization successful by remaining active in the community and on campus by volunteering our time with various activities.  This helps by not only helping to keep our organizations fun and successful but also helps to raise funds to help defray the costs of board reviews and exams.

Fire Technology - Advisor - Paul Ostman p.ostman@lsc.edu Mission:  The Fire Technology and Administration Club continuously strive to support the needs of the students through fundraising and community involvement. By supporting the student needs financially we can assist them in achieving their full potential as confident and competent servants of the fire service.

Nursing Club - Advisor Carleen Ronchetti c.ronchetti@lsc.edu  Mission:  To support and further educate prospective and current nursing students of LSC.  To provide a recognizable group as a reference for people with the same interests and compassion in pursuit of nursing.  We may utilize this club as a networking tool by becoming involved on campus as well as in the community.

Physical Therapist Assistant - Advisor Linda Farrell l.farrell@lsc.edu

Radiologic Technology - Advisor Sharon Johnson s.johnson@lsc.edu Mission:  The Rad Tech Club is an organization for students who are currently enrolled in the LSC Radiologic Technology Program.  Its purpose is to:

  • -keep members current on issues relating to the profession of Radiologic Technology and other areas of medicine;

  • -act as a resource and also participate in activities of the state professional organizations:  the Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists and it's student committee and the Minnesota Association of Radiology Students (MARS);

  • -provide a forum for student members to discuss program concerns;

  • -provide social opportunities for members;

  • -explore educational material and multimedia tools for potential use in the Program or in conjunction with the Program;

  • -create fundraising activities for community service donations or for college donations;

  • -provide scholarship funding for the Kim Chapman Memorial Award.
